Light & Wonder is recruiting a Director of iGaming Communications, a new London-based role designed to anchor the supplier’s regulated market messaging as it expands across jurisdictions and consolidates its communications structure around a sole ASX listing.
Andy Fouché, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Communications, announced the position on LinkedIn, describing the ideal candidate as a strategic and creative communicator with online gaming industry experience. The role calls for someone with extensive communications experience within structured organisations who is comfortable operating at pace and has a global mindset.
A coordinated push on corporate communications
The hire follows Light & Wonder’s appointment of Rohan Gallagher as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Corporate Affairs Officer in September 2025, a role covering investor relations, ESG, CSR and global communications. Gallagher joined as the company completed its transition to a sole listing on the Australian Securities Exchange, with a mandate to sharpen how the business presents itself to investors and stakeholders across time zones and platforms.
The new Director of iGaming Communications role sits beneath that structure, positioned in London to bring proximity to European operators, studios and regulators while bridging the gap between the company’s ASX-focused corporate centre and its North American commercial operations.
Three priorities run through the job description: tightening communications strategy across global regulated markets, improving internal and external correspondence, and building partnerships with other global communications leaders to reinforce Light & Wonder’s position as a trusted regulated-market partner.
Product momentum meets investor scrutiny
The timing reflects where Light & Wonder sits commercially. iGaming revenue rose 9% year-on-year to $81 million in the second quarter of 2025, with adjusted EBITDA in the segment up 17% to $28 million. Consolidated revenue was $809 million, down 1%, while net income grew 16% to $95 million.
That mix, stronger margins in digital content against modest consolidated top-line pressure, creates a specific communications challenge: explaining margin expansion in iGaming while managing investor expectations across businesses with different growth trajectories. An ASX-primary listing amplifies that challenge, bringing quarterly disclosure discipline and greater regional media attention to a company that must translate performance across distinct business cycles.
Light & Wonder has been expanding its regulated footprint in parallel. It became the first PAGCOR-licensed supplier in the Philippines, taking its operational market count to 47. Agreements with Penn Entertainment to deploy its Wonder Drops player engagement suite in Michigan and an extended licensing partnership with Gaming Realms covering Slingo releases add further reach. Each deal requires coordinated messaging for operators, regulators and investors that moves at the pace of the product pipeline.
What the role signals
The search for a communications director sits alongside a broader effort by Light & Wonder to professionalise its external narrative as it courts growth-focused investors and manages an increasingly complex product portfolio.
The breadth of that task is evident from recent activity. Caesars Entertainment launched an exclusive Light & Wonder slot across four North American jurisdictions earlier this year, while the Dragon Train IP settlement with Aristocrat required simultaneous management of litigation narrative and investor communications. A global distribution deal with Playson deepened the platform’s reach across the UK, Canada and Latin America.
Each development generates distinct messaging needs across jurisdictions, media and investor audiences. The London-based director will be expected to translate that activity into consistent, localised communications for a company now operating across 47 regulated markets. That geographic balance, situating the role within reach of European operators and regulators while bridging the company’s ASX corporate centre and North American partners, points to how Light & Wonder is thinking about communications as a structural business function rather than a reactive capability.
