This policy explains what personal data EpicWins handles when you read the site, and what it does not collect.
Who is responsible
The site is run by iO Media Ltd, which decides how personal data is used on it. For any privacy question, write to press@epicwins.io.
What we do not collect
- The site has no user accounts, no comments, no newsletter sign-up and no contact forms.
- We do not sell personal data.
What happens when you visit
- Server logs: our hosting provider, WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.), receives your IP address and browser details in order to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
- Article view counts: we count how often each article is opened to build the "Most read" list. The count is a daily total per article. It stores no IP address, no cookie and no personal data.
- Light or dark mode: if you switch the display mode, your choice is saved in your own browser. It is not sent to us.
Analytics and advertising measurement
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to measure how often advertisements on the site are seen and clicked. Nothing is loaded from Google before you agree, and nothing else is measured. You can change your choice at any time; see the Cookie policy.
Content from other services
- Author photos are loaded from Gravatar (Automattic Inc.). Your browser sends your IP address to Gravatar to fetch the picture.
- Videos and social posts embedded in an article are loaded from the service they come from, such as YouTube, X or LinkedIn. These services may set their own cookies and receive your IP address. YouTube videos load only when you press play.
When you write to us
If you send us an email, we keep your address and your message for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange.
Legal basis
We rely on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site for server logs and view counts, and on your consent for analytics.
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time under its own rules. View counts hold no personal data, so no time limit applies to them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to its use and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to press@epicwins.io and we will answer within one month.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
