Gaming industry professionals who attend SiGMA World 2026 in Rome will be able to earn as many as 18 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) learning hours over three days of conferences. The programme covers the talks given on the summit’s conference stages from 03 to 05 November 2026 at Fiera Roma, with a maximum of six hours available each day.
This gives the event, which is already focused on industry debates, networking and business opportunities, a professional development aspect as well. The conference sessions offer the opportunity to look at the various issues affecting gaming businesses, such as regulatory developments and operational difficulties as well as emerging technologies and changing market conditions.
The CPD initiative gives attendees a method of recording their learning and including it in their broader professional development.
Professional learning across the industry
Staying informed about developments in the gaming industry goes beyond keeping up with industry headlines, since regulatory requirements vary from one jurisdiction to another, technology keeps changing the way operations are run, and commercial strategies have to take into account changes in player behaviour and in market access.
These topics are of interest to a wide variety of professionals. When considering entry into a new market, an operator will deal with a regulatory issue in a different way from a compliance specialist who is in charge of putting the rules into effect. In the same way, a technology provider might concentrate on the ways in which new tools can improve present systems.
The conference programme combines these different viewpoints so that delegates can attend talks given by people in the industry and look at topics directly related to their own work.
The CPD initiative extends beyond gaming, in line with the multi-industry format of SiGMA World 2026. The programme covers professional development across executive leadership, regulation, compliance, payments, technology, product development, market expansion and affiliate marketing.
Five conference stages
Delegates can explore these subjects across five conference stages:
- Main Stage: international market expansion, regulation, gaming operations and industry leadership.
- Italy Stage: Italy’s regulated gaming market, compliance, product innovation and commercial developments.
- AGS Stage: affiliate marketing, traffic acquisition, SEO and performance marketing.
- AIBC Stage: artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital assets and emerging technologies.
- Global Finance Stage: financial services, fintech, forex, payments and liquidity.
Continuing Professional Development means acquiring knowledge and skills which enable professionals to maintain and improve them. At SiGMA World 2026, the learning hours that are accepted will be those relating to the presentations and discussions on the conference stages, and not to visits to the exhibition, networking events or commercial meetings.
Delegates are entitled to claim a maximum of six CPD hours for each of the three conference days they attend. The number of hours given will be decided as part of the attendance verification and CPD certificate process.
How to claim CPD hours at SiGMA World 2026
Delegates can register their interest in having their conference learning recognised on SiGMA’s dedicated CPD page.
The process starts with a brief online form which attendees can fill in either before or during the summit. Delegates attending conference sessions must scan their badges each time they enter the venue.
The daily entrance records will serve as proof of attendance. After the event, SiGMA will match the registration requests with the available records, and iGaming Academy will issue the CPD certificates.
Individual session check-ins will not be necessary, though delegates should bear in mind that the CPD initiative concerns learning on the conference stages and not the wider range of activities at the venue. People who need help with registration or the CPD process can go to the SiGMA College stand at the summit.
For gaming professionals planning to attend, the initiative is a further reason to review the conference programme. Alongside the contacts made and ideas shared in Rome, qualifying participation in the conference can form part of a documented record of professional learning.
Industry context
SiGMA World 2026 runs from 02 to 05 November at Fiera Roma, with the exhibition and the SiGMA Awards alongside the three conference days. EpicWins lists the summit in its SiGMA World Rome 2026 event guide and in the EpicWins events calendar.
The Rome venue gives the Italy Stage a local market to discuss. Italy’s regulated gambling sector is overseen by the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM), while advertising rules are also under review: the communications authority AGCOM has opened a consultation on the scope of the country’s gambling advertising ban, which EpicWins covered in AGCOM’s consultation on ad exclusions.
The CPD scheme applies only to the conference programme. Hours are not awarded automatically: the final number for each delegate depends on SiGMA matching registration requests against badge-scan records, and the certificates are issued by iGaming Academy after the event closes on 05 November.
