Aristocrat Leisure Ltd has announced the appointment of Bob Serr as Chief Technology Officer, filling a position that has remained vacant since Andy Hendrickson’s resignation. Serr will commence the role in February 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
The new CTO will be based in the United States and will lead Aristocrat’s global technology strategy. Serr brings expertise in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and enterprise-scale innovation to the role.
Technology Leadership Background
Serr’s career spans multiple technology giants and gaming industry positions. He previously held senior leadership roles at Azure Communication Services, part of Microsoft Corp’s Azure platform. His experience also includes serving as Director of Software Development for Amazon’s Alexa Skills Kit, where he contributed to the development of voice-assistant technology.
Prior to his roles at major technology companies, Serr served as Chief Technology Officer at Double Down Interactive, a gaming company previously owned by International Game Technology Plc (IGT). This experience provides him with direct knowledge of gaming technology infrastructure and player engagement platforms.
Strategic Technology Direction
In his new role, Serr will be responsible for directing Aristocrat’s technology initiatives across all business units. His appointment reflects the company’s commitment to advancing digital innovation and enterprise-scale technology solutions.

Executive Leadership Structure
Serr will report directly to Trevor Croker and join Aristocrat’s executive steering committee. The appointment comes as Aristocrat continues to expand its technology capabilities across both land-based gaming and digital platforms.
The position became available when former CTO Andy Hendrickson resigned to join IGT. Aristocrat implemented interim leadership arrangements while conducting a comprehensive search for Hendrickson’s successor.
