The timing aligns with Spain’s impressive iGaming performance, as reported by the national regulator Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ). The Spanish market achieved record-breaking results in 2024, with gross gaming revenue reaching €1.45 billion—a significant 17.6% increase from the previous year. Online casinos drove the majority of this growth, generating €730.7 million in GGR with a 17% year-on-year increase, while slot games contributed €472.2 million to the total revenue.
