SOFTSWISS to Attend SiGMA Africa 2026 in Cape Town

SOFTSWISS will be present at SiGMA Africa 2026, taking place from 3–5 March 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. Miranda Guliashvili, Head of Regional Growth at SOFTSWISS, will participate in the event and share her expertise on the African iGaming market and sports betting products.

African Betting Market Continues to Grow

Research by the National Gambling Board of South Africa shows that betting now accounts for nearly 70% of total regulated gambling industry revenue on the continent. Africa’s regulated betting market has more than tripled in value since 2022, pointing to sustained long-term growth momentum that is drawing increasing attention from global operators and technology providers.

The data reinforces the strategic importance of the African market heading into 2026, particularly as regulatory frameworks mature and the operational landscape becomes more complex.

“We see strong long-term potential in the African iGaming market, which is now entering a more mature phase of growth. As regulatory frameworks evolve and operational requirements become more complex, the focus for operators is shifting from rapid market entry to building resilient, scalable business models.”

Sports Betting Panel Participation

Miranda Guliashvili will take part in the panel discussion "Sports Betting Product, Odds, and Local Market Fit" on 4 March, scheduled from 15:30 to 16:00. The session will cover how operators can sharpen their relevance for African bettors and strengthen their position in this growing market.

Market Research and Industry Insights

SOFTSWISS has backed its conference presence with dedicated research on the African iGaming sector. The company’s South Africa: iGaming Market Overview 2025 report examined the maturity of the region’s digital betting ecosystem, covering the dominance of sports betting, the central role of mobile channels, and regulated market growth.

These findings are also addressed in SOFTSWISS’s 2026 iGaming Trends Report, which places regional developments within a broader global context to help operators anticipate key shifts across the industry.

Partners and industry visitors are invited to meet the SOFTSWISS team at Stand 054 during the event.
