Pamela Klockenbrink Appointed Managing Director of Merkur Casino

Klockenbrink succeeds Meik Sellenriek, who was appointed to the board of Merkur.com AG on January 1, 2025, and has now transitioned his executive responsibilities to new leadership. The 52-year-old will lead the company together with Benjamin Bredenkamp, who continues in his role as part of the executive management team.

Merkur Casino, a subsidiary of Merkur Group, operates more than 700 gaming venues across Germany and Europe. The company celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.

Internal Promotion Strengthens Leadership

Klockenbrink’s appointment represents an internal promotion within the company. She began her career at Merkur in May 2015 as coordinator of national and international controlling for Merkur Casino. The Bad Oeynhausen native spent nearly a decade as head of controlling at the Merkur subsidiary. Before joining the corporate group, Klockenbrink held various leadership positions in the finance and accounting departments of international corporations, where she managed projects in international accounting and taxation.

Leadership Transition Reflects Company Growth Strategy

Meik Sellenriek, board member for Merkur Operations at Merkur.com AG, welcomed the appointment as a logical step forward for the organization.
