Brazil’s SPA Revokes Trisigma’s Authorization to Certify Gaming Systems

The decision was formalized through Ordinance SPA/MF No. 2,684, signed by Secretary Regis Dudena and published in the Official Gazette of the Union. The measure annuls Ordinance No. 1,775/2024, which had granted Trisigma authorization in November 2024 to certify betting systems and platforms in Brazil.

With the revocation, Trisigma is no longer permitted to act as a certifier for new processes in the country. The Dutch company had become the fifth entity accredited to validate technology for regulated betting operators when it entered the Brazilian market last year.

Previously Issued Certifications Remain Valid

Despite the revocation, certifications previously issued by Trisigma will remain valid. These certifications continue to be technically supported by Gaming Laboratories International LLC (GLI), in line with Ordinance SPA/MF No. 504/2024.

The SPA clarified that the decision does not affect any certifications already granted to operators, ensuring continuity for those who have received compliance reports. However, as of September 30, 2025, operators and applicants seeking new certifications will need to turn to another SPA-recognized certifying body.
