Evolution Partners with Gaming Arts to Launch NetEnt Slots in Land-Based Casinos

Evolution has announced a strategic partnership with Gaming Arts LLC to adapt popular NetEnt online slot titles for land-based casino environments. The collaboration will see four iconic NetEnt games debut in North American land-based casinos during Q4 2025 on Gaming Arts' MOD EX cabinet suite.

Divine Fortune and Starburst Lead Land-Based Expansion

The partnership will introduce Divine Fortune, Evolution’s top-performing online slot in the United States, to land-based players alongside a new sequel, Divine Fortune Ascension. The Ascension variant features a three-pot perceived persistence mechanism designed to increase player engagement.

Starburst, NetEnt’s highest-performing online slot worldwide, will launch as a two-game multi-pack containing the classic version and a new title called Starburst Supernova. Both land-based adaptations include multiplayer functionality and a persistent bonus system leading to a hold-and-spin feature.

Reversing Traditional Content Flow

The partnership represents a shift in gaming content development, bringing successful online titles to land-based venues rather than following the traditional opposite direction.

“Since the beginning of online gaming, content has traditionally flowed in one direction — from land-based casinos to online. That approach made sense, as it brought proven experiences to digital audiences,” said Todd Haushalter, Chief Product Officer at Evolution. “What excites us now is reversing that trend by taking some of the most successful games in the history of online gaming and bringing them to land-based casinos.”

Haushalter added that the collaboration, initiated with land-based slots partner Bluhare Studios, allows Evolution to bring its intellectual property to Gaming Arts’ development team.

Gaming Arts Brings Land-Based Expertise

Greg Colella, Chief Product Officer of Gaming Arts, expressed enthusiasm about working with Evolution as an industry leader in online gaming content creation. “We are collaborating closely with the Evolution team to effectively adapt these classics for land-based play, while also innovating to create fresh, engaging experiences that will resonate with today’s casino players,” Colella stated.

Market Impact and Timeline

The partnership targets the North American land-based casino market with a planned launch in the fourth quarter of 2025. The collaboration builds on the success of NetEnt’s online slot portfolio, which has generated multiple sequel titles including Divine Fortune Megaways, Divine Fortune Black, Starburst XXXtreme, and Starburst Galaxy.

Gaming Arts will handle the adaptation process for Gaming Arts’ high-performance MOD EX cabinet technology, ensuring the online titles translate effectively to the land-based gaming environment.
