FanDuel Super Bowl Campaign: Last Call for Football Ads

FanDuel has launched a three-spot advertising campaign ahead of the Super Bowl that positions the championship game as both the pinnacle and conclusion of the NFL season.

FanDuel has launched a three-spot advertising campaign ahead of the Super Bowl that positions the championship game as both the pinnacle and conclusion of the NFL season.

The campaign, titled “Last Call for Football,” debuts across the final week of the NFL season and culminates with a premium placement during the Super Bowl broadcast immediately before kickoff. Developed with creative agency Arts & Letters, the work focuses on the dual nature of the Super Bowl as the sport’s biggest stage and its seasonal endpoint.

Campaign Concept and Execution

“When we started thinking about the Super Bowl, we came back to a simple but powerful fan truth: It’s the biggest moment on the sports calendar, but it’s also the moment when the season ends,” said Mike Raffensperger, President of Sports at FanDuel. “‘Last Call for Football’ sits right at the center of that insight—celebrating the season that was, while savoring the final night we all get to enjoy the NFL together.”

The creative centers on a fictional bar setting where fans and football legends gather to reflect on the season. NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana, Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski, and record-holding kicker Adam Vinatieri appear alongside Luis Guzmán, who has served as FanDuel’s brand host throughout the season.

Three-Spot Rollout Strategy

The campaign launches February 2 with “Toast,” a 30-second spot establishing the week’s narrative. Guzmán announces a “last call for football,” prompting fans to raise glasses to the season’s moments and rituals.

The second spot, “Fever Dream,” debuts February 7 and features Gronkowski in a comedic take on pregame pressure. When asked to deliver a speech, Gronkowski enters an internal spiral that reflects fan anxiety heading into championship Sunday. Montana appears at the spot’s conclusion, bridging to the campaign finale.

“Speech,” the third 30-second spot, airs immediately before Super Bowl kickoff. Montana delivers a unifying message directed at fans rather than players, framing the game as the emotional culmination of an entire season’s investment.

Supporting Media and Distribution

The campaign extends beyond broadcast placement with digital and social media activations and a significant out-of-home presence. FanDuel has executed a takeover of Penn Station in New York to reach fans during Super Bowl weekend travel.

The work represents the latest execution within FanDuel’s ongoing “Play Your Game” brand platform, which positions the sportsbook as a narrator of fan experience rather than focusing solely on in-game betting opportunities.

FanDuel operates as one of the leading sports betting platforms in the United States, holding market access across multiple regulated jurisdictions. The company maintains partnerships with major sports leagues including the NFL and operates both retail and mobile betting products.
