Ras Al Khaimah Airport VVIP Terminal for Wynn Resort Guests

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is developing a dedicated VVIP terminal to accommodate high-end guests of Wynn Al Marjan Island as part of broader infrastructure expansion plans supporting the emirate’s tourism growth strategy.

Airport CEO Manish Seth disclosed the project in an interview with Arabian Gulf Business Insight, confirming the facility will be developed in partnership with Falcon Executive Aviation and designed specifically for Wynn’s exclusive clientele.

VVIP Terminal Specifications

The planned terminal complex will encompass 1,500 square meters of terminal space, an 8,000-square-meter multi-purpose hangar, and a 9,000-square-meter apron with aircraft parking facilities.

According to Seth, the terminal will feature “a Royal lounge, four VVIP lounges, premium hospitality areas and an environment tailored to the needs of discreet, high-profile travellers.”

Wynn Al Marjan Island has projected annual visitor numbers of approximately one million guests when the integrated resort commences operations.

Airport Expansion Supports Tourism Targets

The VVIP terminal announcement follows Ras Al Khaimah International Airport surpassing one million passengers in 2025 for the first time—a 51% increase year-over-year. Seth has established a target of 1.5 million passengers by 2027, with the Wynn resort opening expected to drive significant traffic growth.

“The endeavour is to achieve the same feat [as in 2025] in the next two years,” Seth stated, referencing Ras Al Khaimah’s broader objective to attract 3.5 million visitors by 2030. “Wynn Al Marjan Island will help us build traffic.”

The airport is implementing comprehensive infrastructure upgrades to accommodate projected growth. The existing terminal is undergoing refurbishment to increase capacity to 1.2 million passengers, while a new 30,000-square-foot terminal capable of handling 4.5 million passengers annually is planned, with construction expected to commence in 2026.

No timeline has been announced for construction of the VVIP terminal.

Integrated Resort Development

Wynn Al Marjan Island represents one of the UAE’s most significant integrated resort developments outside Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The property is being positioned to attract high-net-worth visitors from international markets, with the dedicated airport facilities forming part of the emirate’s strategy to differentiate its luxury hospitality offering.

The airport’s passenger growth and infrastructure expansion align with Ras Al Khaimah’s development of tourism assets including luxury resorts, entertainment venues, and gaming facilities as the emirate seeks to diversify its economy.
